"We are closing permanently Sept. 3," read a chalkboard sign at the restaurant, which invited guests to visit the pasta chain's locations in Wayne, Rockaway and Springfield.
An employee confirmed the restaurant's closing. A spokesperson for the restaurant's corporate parent, Florida-based Darden Restaurants, could not immediately be reached.
The chain, known for its large portions and various all-you-can-eat promotions, boasts 866 locations across North America as of 2019, its highest number ever, according to the Web site Statista. More than 100 Olive Gardens have opened since 2011.
